  • How complex is the syntax?

2. Is it relevant?

  • What biases does this text have?
  • How might this book appeal to students from diverse cultural or linguistic backgrounds?
  • What issues related to language or culture are brought up by this text?

3. Is it good?

  • Is it an entertaining read?
  • Would we recommend it to students?
  • Would we be able to use it in a class?
